SEASON 19 RULES & STRUCTURE

        New features are highlighted below. Rules are always subject to change. The Host is the ultimate arbiter of all disputes.
      

League Format

League Play consists of ten (10) monthly games held on the 3rd Saturday of each month, with the Tournament of Champions (TOC) on the 3rd Saturday of November 2026.

Any player who participates in four (4) League events over Season 19, or wins any event, is invited to the TOC. If you haven't achieved 4 League Events, you add $20 per missed event to the TOC Kitty.

Buy-In

Regular Events: $80 — $60 towards the main prize pool, $20 towards the TOC Kitty
TOC: $60 — all towards the TOC Kitty
Starting Stacks: 10,000 chips (all formats)

League Scoring System

Every player receives a minimum of one (1) point, plus additional points for each position they finish.

        Formula: In an N-player tournament, last place = 1 point, each place above = +1 point.

        All tournament winners receive a bonus of 2× the base points for 1st place.

        Players in the money get half as many bonus points as the person ahead of them.

        Example (16 players):

        16th = 1 pt  |  15th = 2 pts  |  ...  |  1st = 32 pts (16 base + 16 bonus)

        2nd = 23 pts (15 base + 8 bonus)  |  3rd = 18 pts (14 base + 4 bonus)

Tournament of Champions

Play in 4 of 10 League Tournaments to be eligible. Starting stack: 10,000 chips + league points × 100 bonus chips. Tournament winners receive an additional 2,000 chip bonus add-on per win.

If you participated in fewer than 4 events, you can pay $20 per missed event at the TOC to participate.

        Example: 50 league points = 10,000 base + 5,000 bonus = 15,000 chip starting stack.
      

Payout Structure

Top 25% of players are paid in monthly games and the TOC. There must always be a winner — chopping is allowed but one hand must be played to determine 1st place.

Big Blind Ante (BBA) is used. The Big Blind posts an ante equal to the Big Blind each round.

House Rules

        A not-so-friendly reminder: we are not your wife, mother, or maid. If you don't clean up after yourself you will be suspended 1 game for the first offense and permanently for a second offense.
      

No smoking except cigars at Dave's Poker Room
No credit, IOUs, or checks
Events are BYOB
Please use the basement door in the rear of the house and keep it closed at all times
Only English may be spoken at the table
No phones at the table
Do not bend or mark the cards
Keep cards and chips on the table and in plain view at all times
Chips put into the pot stay in the pot
Check-raising is acceptable and encouraged
String bets are not allowed
No slow-rolling — turn over your winning hand promptly
Both hole cards must be revealed in a showdown to win

High Hand Jackpot (Optional)

One-time $20 payment to participate. Eligible only after payment. The jackpot runs for the length of the tournament, excluding the championship. The TD/host must witness any qualifying hand. Both hole cards must be in play. The hand does not have to go to showdown.
